Banner Specifications

Artwork Size: 468w x 60h pixels (IAB standard).

ALT Text: Must be provided and cannot exceed 50 characters (including spelling and punctuation).

Linking URL: An active linking URL must be provided and cannot exceed 128 characters.

File Size: Banners must be 12.0k or less.

Format Static or animated GIFs, Image maps, HTML, Shockwave.

Animation: GIF89a is the standard animation format; loop with a refresh time of no less than two seconds. There is no limit to the amount of times that an animation can repeat.

Ads should not include transparent backgrounds and frame disposal should be set to "do not dispose".

Testing - All ads must function uniformly on both Mac and PC platforms as well as multiple browser versions of Netscape and Internet Explorer.

Deadlines - New advertisers must submit materials to search4truth.com seven days prior to start date.

Current advertisers may change ads as often as they like as long as search4truth.com receives the ad by noon the day prior to start date. Ads that include complex technologies (e.g. Shockwave) must be received by seacrh4truth.com two weeks prior to start date.

Submissions - Choose one of two options to send files to search4truth.com:

HTML Forms - (Available for Banners)

Images - Submit no more than five images totaling less than 12.0K for banners, three images totaling less than 7.0K for windows, and seven images totaling less than 15.0 K for BAPs.

Source Code - All HTML form ACTIONS must be of type "GET".

seacrh4truth.com is currently not accepting Javascript in HTML Forms.

HTML text must be less than 2500 characters.

All URLs are limited to a 128 character limit.

seacrh4truth.com reserves the right to edit HTML elements which may adversely affect our sites.

Form Elements

Form elements (drop-down menus, radio buttons, etc.) may not link to the client site without the aid of a submit button or image.

Please limit drop-down menus to 20 selections.

Drop-down menus and search boxes should be designed using default browser fonts.

Any form elements (drop-down menus, search-boxes, etc.) which causes the ad to exceed its height or width specification on any platform or browser will be returned to the client for revision.

Deadlines - New advertisers must submit materials to seacrh4truth.com five business days prior to start date. Changes to ads may be submitted three days prior to start date. Any HTML ad not conforming to the above specification will not be placed online and will result in delayed start dates.

Image Maps (Available for Banners)

Linking URLs - Active linking URLs must be provided for all specified coordinates and cannot exceed 128 characters. Shape and Coordinates - Shape type (i.e. RECT, POLYGON, CIRCLE) and coordinates must be provided. Please submit coordinates in the following format:

Deadlines - All associated banner images and HTML must be delivered to seacrh4truth.com five business days prior to start date. Updated materials must be received three business days prior to start date. Any banner not conforming to the above specifications will not be placed online and will result in delayed start dates.

Send GIF images and HTML files as an attachment; or

Post files to a WWW page or FTP site and send location via e-mail.
