We live in an Age when everyone has an opinion. Everyone has something to say about every subject. And we Muslims are no different, despite the warnings from our pious predecessors. Umar (radhi'Allahu 'anhu) was reported to have said, "The one who speaks often makes a lot of mistakes." Furthermore, we are to confirm stories before we repeat them. It seems, however, that we have forgotten these lessons.

A rumor has been circulating among Muslims regarding the origins of April Fool's Day. Rather than repeating that rumor, suffice it to say that the origin of April Fool's Day is NOT tied to the Spanish Inquisition.
